The design on this elegant pocket square is taken from a painted panel of glass, which was originally made in Holland in 1629 and is now in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum. In the middle is an oval medallion with figures of Joseph, Mary and the young Christ, with a selection of birds and plants, which were copied from zoological and botanical manuscripts.
The wonderful thing about printed paintings on pocket squares is that they can produce a number of different effects depending on how they are folded and creates a great topic for conversation once pulled out of the breast pocket.
